His unfathomable stardom and popularity aren’t confined only to India; he commands just as much attention across the globe. In April 2012, Shah Rukh Khan was invited by Yale University, where he was awarded with the prestigious Chubb Fellow Award . Then in 2015, he was  conferred with the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa at University of Edinburgh . In all these events, what stood out were his speeches when he interacted with students.

Now, the coveted Oxford University has welcomed Shah Rukh for a speech. The principal of Oxford University, Alan Rusbridger, tweeted to him with an informal invite.

According to a report by Mid-day, Khan has confirmed that he has accepted the invitation, and is now looking for possible dates to visit the university. Speaking to the newspaper, he said, “I love to talk. Whenever someone invites me to deliver a speech, I always consider it an opportunity. I have been to Yale earlier, and now, I have received an invitation from Oxford. I’ll go if I have the time and if it fits into my scheme of things.”

What he is going to speak about hasn’t been planned yet. Khan says, “I don’t like anyone writing for me. It takes time for me to sit down and write, given my schedule, but it has to be done by me. I am yet to zero in on a subject for this talk.”
