It was earlier reported how the makers of S Shankar’s science fiction entertainer 2.0 have upped the ante as far as film promotion is concerned. Now, interesting details have emerged about a song and dance sequence in the film.
DNA reports that the lead pair of the film, Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson, will soon start shooting for a song which will go on for 12 days. The report quotes Jackson as saying, “Apart from the 12-day song shoot, I have been told to block at least 10 days for rehearsals. Shankar works like that, so for the song you have to block the whole month. But then, the results are always fabulous. From past experiences on I (Shankar’s film), the song ‘Ennodu Nee Irundhal’ took us 14 days to film. Bosco choreographed it and I think he’s doing it again for 2.0.”
Again, as per Shankar’s filming style, a huge set will be created indoors rather than have the cast and crew travel to an exotic location. Also, while the entire shooting of the film, barring this song, has been wrapped up, they will begin filming the song next month. “AR Rahman is composing the song as we speak,” Jackson confirms, as per the same report.
2.0 also stars Akshay Kumar, Adil Hussain, Riyaz Khan and Sudhanshu Pandey. It is the sequel to Shankar’s 2010 blockbuster Enthiraan. It is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions and is slated to release on 25 January, 2018, the eve of Republic Day next year.
