DNA reports that Mapuskar is quite happy with the creative partnership that he shared with Priyanka. The report quotes him as saying, “Even during the making of Ventilator, Priyanka and her mother kept talking about doing more projects. We will work on another Marathi film, after I wrap up my next Hindi film.”

While he was initially apprehensive about venturing into Marathi cinema, following his Hindi directorial debut with the 2012 film Ferrari Ki Sawaari, it was his meeting with Priyanka that infused him with newfound conviction to pursue the film wholeheartedly.

The report quotes him as saying, “She followed my instinct and connected instantly to the story within five minutes of the narration, this despite the fact that she is such a busy star. We were both on the same page about the extraordinary subject, after which she put complete faith in me. It was as if she was convinced that I would take the film to a level she wanted. When somebody puts that kind of faith and confidence in you, you know that you are going in a right direction. It was this confidence that was also reflected in the way the film eventually shaped up.”

Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra started their production house Purple Pebble Pictures with an intention to promote regional cinema. While they have already bankrolled a Bhojpuri film Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi, a Punjabi film Sarvann and Ventilator, they are gearing up to expand their reach.

Their future projects, as reported by The Indian Express , include a Marathi film Kay Re Rascala, a Konkani film Little Joe, Kaha Ho?, two Bengali films Brishtir Oppekhyayy and Bus Stop E Keu Nei, an untitled Hindi film and a Sikkamese film Pahona.
