Jr NTR, Ram Charan head to Los Angeles for a special photoshoot for SS Rajamouli's untitled multi-starrer

Jr NTR, who is waiting to kickstart shooting for NTR 28 with director Trivikram, and Ram Charan, who is currently gearing up for the release of Rangasthalam on 30 March, are heading to Los Angeles for a special photoshoot for Baahubali director SS Rajamouli’s next untitled multi-starrer. The pictures and a video of the duo, along with Upasana Konidela, Ram Charan’s wife, at the airport have been going viral on social media platforms.

“The US sojourn of NTR and Ram Charan will last for two weeks before they commence shooting for their respective films with directors Trivikram and Boyapati Sreenu. Renowned Hollywood technicians will conduct the look test for both NTR and Ram Charan in the next few days. Rajamouli’s son SS Rajamouli will oversee the photoshoot. Rajamouli is planning to wrap up the film before December 2018 and has asked bulk dates of close to four months from both NTR and Ram Charan,” a source from the team told Firstpost.

Meanwhile, reports are rife that Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is busy shooting for the official Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake of Kannada film U-Turn, is the leading choice of Rajamouli to play one of the female leads. “Talks have been already initiated with the actress, who is working out her dates. Rajamouli is planning to cast her opposite Ram Charan in the movie,” the source added. If Samantha comes on board, it will mark her second consecutive film opposite Ram Charan after director Sukumar’s Rangasthalam.

The pre-production work of the film, which is reportedly set in a sports backdrop, is going on in full swing. The principal shooting is expected to commence towards the end of August or early September. Produced by DVV Danayya under his home banner DVV Entertainment, the story of this much-awaited multi-starrer is penned by Rajamouli’s father, Vijayendra Prasad.

NTR has been undergoing an intense fitness regimen to shed some kilos for his role in NTR 28 directed by Trivikram. Since Trivikram’s previous film with Pawan Kalyan, Agnyaathavaasi, tanked at the box-office, everyone is eagerly waiting to see how the Attarintiki Daredi filmmaker revives his mojo at the box-office with NTR 28. Pooja Hegde has been signed to play the lead heroine in the film.

“NTR 28 is likely to go on floors from the fourth week of March and will be wrapped before early-July. NTR will spend some time with his family before he prepares for his role in Rajamouli’s next. A special workshop is being planned by Rajamouli before he kickstarts shooting for the project from,” the source added.

On the other hand, Ram Charan’s untitled action drama with director Boyapati Sreenu has already gone on floors. Ram Charan is also expected to complete shooting his portions quickly before joining Rajamouli’s sets. The film pitches Vivek Oberoi in a negative role, and the actor has already started shooting for the project in Vijayawada. MS Dhoni actress Kiara Advani, who makes her Telugu debut in Mahesh Babu’s yet-to-be-released Bharat Ane Nenu, will play the lead heroine in the film. Devi Sri Prasad has been signed to compose music for the project, which is tipped to be an out-and-out commercial film.
