Johnny Lever has ruled the silver screen as the quintessential comedy actor in most 90s films. No matter who the lead star was, Lever stole the show with his inimitable comic timing and sense of humour.

But lately, he has been missing from the limelight and has appeared in only a handful of films. Now, he is all set to entertain audiences and tickle their funny bone with the upcoming comedy show Partners —Trouble Ho Gayi Double, on SAB TV.

Lever appears on TV after a 10-year-long hiatus; he was last seen in ZEE TV’s comedy show, Johnny Aala Re, which premiered in the year 2007. According to a report by Pune Mirror , Lever will be seen in a double role — playing a police commissioner and his twin who happens to be a ‘khabri’ (informer).

On 27 October, the official handle of SAB TV posted on Twitter:

Speaking about his show, Lever says, “There are many interesting shows on TV today and I have been getting a lot of offers. When this show’s writer-producer, Paritosh Painter, who has earlier directed me in Subhash Ghai’s Paying Guests, approached me, I couldn’t say no. Paritosh is really good at what he does,” reports Mirror.
