Jean Paul Lal, Sreenath Bhasi sued by Honey Bee 2: Celebrations actress for passing lewd remarks

An actress who was a part of Jean Paul Lal’s Malayalam ensemble film Honey Bee 2: Celebrations , has filed a case against the filmmaker, co-star Sreenath Bhasi, and technicians Anirudh and Anoop for allegedly passing lewd comments on her.

Manorama Online reports that the actress told the Panangad police that she went to a hotel to ask for her remuneration for doing Honey Bee 2: Celebrations. However, the four accused returned the favour by passing lewd remarks on her and refused to pay her.

Subsequently, she filed a case with the Panagad police since the hotel, where the incident happened, falls under their jurisdiction. The same report states that the police is investigating the matter.

Malayalam film industry has recently been in news for another similar case, though much graver in nature. Kerala High Court rejected the bail plea of Malayalam superstar Dileep who is the chief accused in the assault and abduction case of a popular Malayalam actress.

Thus, Dileep is not only looking at his two-week jail stay being prolonged, but also the loss of his stardom. While those in the legal fraternity point out that denial of bail should not be taken as the court’s verdict, as a celebrity whose career depends on his public reputation, Dileep would find it very difficult to stage a comeback.
