It was revealed earlier in March that actress Zazie Beetz will be cast as the mutant Domino in the upcoming sequel of 2016 Marvel blockbuster Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds. Now Reynolds has shared the first look of Domino from the film.

Like every move by Deadpool, both in the film as well as the promotional strategies, this first look also is outrightly wacky. Domino is seen posing in the usual Deadpool pose, just this time he’s is placed like a tiger-skin rug.

The writers had previously hinted at casting a mutant in Deadpool 2.

Marvel character Domino’s real name is Neena Thurman; she bears the power of telekinesis and is part of mercenary groups like Six Pack and X-Force.

Like Jean Grey (from X-Men), Domino is a mutant who possesses telekinetic abilities, but her powers work differently than just giving her the capability to move things with her mind. She, through her psychic powers, can affect the probabilities of making things work in her favour and against others. Although, the ultimate range of her powers is still unknown, but she has often been seen doing hand-to-hand combat and martial arts in her comic-books avatar, as stated in marvel.com .

According to a report by torontosun.com , the shooting of the movie is currently on in Vancouver since last month. Deadpool 2 is being directed by David Leitch, who took over for the original helmer Tim Miller. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have penned the script. The film is slated to release on 1 June, 2018.
