Filmmaker duo Raj and DK’s 2013 film Go Goa Gone was touted as India’s first zom-com or a zombie comedy. That is what brought Khan to back the project not only through a supporting role but also his production banner, Illuminati Films. Little did he know the film, in which he played a Russian hunter, would be his last moderately successful film in the years to come.

Mumbai Mirror reports that Khan has confirmed that he is planning to produce and act in the sequel of the 2013 zombie comedy. He recalled how some parts of the film clicked really well with the audience while the others did not. He assured that he will iron out all the creases from the script of the sequel in order to ensure a better run at the box office.

Filmfare reports that the sequel will repeat the cast from the first installment, including Khan, his brother-in-law Kunal Khemu and the comedian-cum-actor Vir Das. The film is in its pre-production stage as Raj and DK are working on the script. They are currently also busy with the post production of the action romance entertainer Reloaded, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, which is slated to release on 25 August.
