Startup Findow to expand footprint to two-tier cities; looks at online, omni-channel penetration

The way business is done in the digital world has changed forever and fashion has been a big revelation in that front. From shopping online to even having an app that will give information on what stores in the vicinity has fashion merchandise a shopper is looking for to even preferred price points made accessible to shoppers, shopping has become a hassle-free activity.

Founded by Zarine Ahmad Bajaj and Himanshu Kumar, Findow, the startup was launched in July 2016 and has received an undisclosed amount of seed funding from investor Raj Singh Bhandal, Director at Next Media Works. The startup, a location-based shopping mobile application and website that acts as a digital resource for shoppers, enables users to find nearby stores, products, and exclusive offers. It is a platform that connects the merchant to the client and provides shoppers information on what’s the in-vogue fashion and provides information on options on where and how to purchase merchandise of their desire. Findow also helps identify different pricing and gives designers/retailers space to showcase their collections.

“Currently, we are looking at markets with online and omni-channel penetration. Anyone who has access to a smartphone or a computer becomes a part of our market. Users can access Findow wherever they are - be it online/on their smartphones which makes us platform agnostic, says Zarine Ahmed Bajaj, co-founder. Besides looking for stores online, the user can engage with other users on the app and discover places to shop around them through user recommendations.

Findow is presently functional in New Delhi and is expanding to Mumbai, Bengaluru and other metros and two tier cities in India. The app caters to all kind of fashion needs from high street to high end brand and have about 300 plus brands on the platform. “We have launched two new features, camera and reviews- where users can follow and review fashion brands and retailers. They can also create their own profile like Instagram and create their own style profiles where others can follow them as well and share experiences,” says Ahmed, adding that the goal is to provide all possible fashion solutions; making it a win-win for the customers and businesses on Indian high fashion.
