Himachal Pradash wrap up 10-wicket win

A round-up of all the Ranji Trophy Group C matches on October 11, 2015

Services 402 (Paliwal 92, Anshul Gupta 89, Jakati 3-80 ) and 217 for 6 declared (Chatterjee 64, Yashpal Singh 59, Amit Yadav 3-40) drew with Goa 285 (Asnodkar 139, Poonia, 5-60) and 3 for 0
Scorecard
Services' first-innings lead of 117 ensured they took away three points from their drawn game against Goa in Porvorim. Goa added only 17 runs to their overnight score before being bowled out for 285 in their first innings. In Services' second innings, Anshul Gupta fell in the 13th over, making 9 from 36 after which a 68-run stand between Soumik Chatterjee and Ravi Chauhan took Services past 100. Despite a mini-collapse, Chatterjee's 64, an unbeaten 59 from Yashpal Singh, and a handy 31 from Shashank Sharma saw Services declare on 217 for 6. With a draw imminent, time allowed only six overs to be bowled in Goa's second innings. Twenty-year-old right-arm seamer Poonam Poonia's career-best figures of 5 for 60 in the first innings earned him the Man-of-the-Match award.
Himachal Pradesh 554 (Gangta 203, Bipul 117) and 16 for 0 beat Jammu & Kashmir 293 (Rasool 114, Rishi Dhawan 4-107) and 276 (Khajuria 76, Vasisht 4-71) by 10 wickets
Scorecard
Himachal Pradesh's left-arm spinners Akash Vasisht and Bipul Sharma picked up seven wickets between them, helping the team to a bonus-point win against Jammu & Kashmir in Dharamsala. J&K, who began the day at 85 for 1, were buoyed by a second-wicket stand worth 104 between Shubham Khajuria (73) and Paras Sharma (43), but the team collapsed from that point, losing their last nine wickets for just 114 runs. Vasisht collected 4 for 71, while Bipul picked up 3 for 50. It meant Himachal needed just 16 for victory, and the team amassed that paltry total in five overs without losing a wicket.
Kerala 401 (Prem 208, Bhandari 5-72) drew with Hyderabad 218 (Akshath Reddy 73, Monish 6-91) and 176 for 6 (Tanmay Agarwal 64, Monish 5-73)
Scorecard
Kerala failed to take maximum advantage of their massive first-innings lead against Hyderabad, as the hosts hung on for a draw. The day began promisingly for Kerala, as left-arm spinner KS Monish ran through Hyderabad's batting in the first innings with career-best figures of 6 for 91, helping the visitors bowl them out for 218.
Kerala enforced the follow on, but Hyderabad started strongly in their second dig and put on 69 for the first wicket. However, Monish was at it again and dismissed Akshath Reddy for 43 in the 23rd over. After a 35-run second-wicket partnership that took the home team past 100, Monish had the opposition captain Hanuma Vihari caught for 17. Tanmay Agarwal, who until then held Hyderabad's innings together, was soon dismissed by Monish for 64. Hyderabad went on to lose four wickets for just 20 runs, but Kerala ran out of time and overs in their pursuit of victory, and eventually had to settle for just three points instead of seven. Hyderabad were 176 for 7 when stumps were called, and Monish ended with match figures of 11 for 164.
