Shakib Al Hasan, with his 251 runs and 18 wickets against Zimbabwe, joins Mitchell Johnson as the only players to achieve this. Johnson took 16 wickets and made 255 runs against South Africa in 2008-09.

While this is the first time Tamim has aggregated 300-plus in a series, Mominul had scored 376 runs in two Tests against New Zealand last year. Habibul Bashar's 379 runs in a three-Test series against Pakistan in 2003 is the most by a Bangladesh batsman.

9 Number of consecutive fifties for Mominul in Tests. Only six other batsmen have had longer such sequences. Mominul has hit 1198 runs at an average of 63.05 in the 12 Tests he has played and has 11 fifty-plus scores, including four centuries.

88.14 Mominul's batting average in second innings, when he has produced three of his four centuries and three fifties as well. With a 500-run cut-off, only Don Bradman's second-innings average of 104.50 is higher than Mominul's. His overall average of 63.05 too, is currently second to Bradman among batsmen with at least 20 Test innings.

356 Runs scored by Hamilton Masakadza, the most any Zimbabwe batsman has hit in a series since Andy Flower's 422 runs in a two-Test series against South Arica in 2001. Masakadza has also gone past Murray Goodwin to become the Zimbabwe batsman with the second-most runs in Tests at No. 3, and is only 38 runs short of going past Alistair Campbell who leads this list.

503 Bangladesh's first-innings total in this Test, which was only the fourth time they scored 500 or more runs in a Test innings. Two of these have come in Chittagong and five of their top-ten Test totals have come in the last two years.

1 The first innings of the Chittagong Test provided the first occasion of Bangladesh's openers hitting centuries in the same innings. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes also recorded only the third time Bangladesh's top-two hit fifty-plus scores in a Test innings, and were responsible for the last time it had happened at Lord's in 2010, when Tamim got a century and Kayes scored 75.

224 Runs added by Tamim and Kayes for Bangladesh's first wicket in the first innings. This was Bangladesh's first 200-run opening partnership and only their fourth double-century stand for any wicket. The same pair had put on a partnership of 185 runs at Lord's in 2010, which was Bangladesh's previous highest for the first wicket.

4 Number of fifty-plus scores in Zimbabwe's first innings, which was the ninth time four or more Zimbabwe batsmen had got to the mark in an innings. The last such instance, which was more than ten years ago, was also against Bangladesh, in Harare when six of their batsmen got fifties.
