Ferguson ton steers South Australia into the finals

Despite centuries from Mitchell Marsh and Michael Klinger, Western Australia failed to maintain their undefeated run as the Redbacks captain struck 169

South Australia 7 for 330 (Ferguson 169, Cooper 46, Lehmann 46, Richardson 3-60) beat Western Australia 6 for 325 (Klinger 143, M Marsh 124, Sayers 2-58, Mennie 2-58) by six wickets
Scorecard
South Australian captain Callum Ferguson's mighty 169 trumped twin centuries by Mitchell Marsh and Michael Klinger as the Redbacks squeaked past Western Australia in a thrilling five-run win in the domestic limited-overs match at Drummoyne Oval to qualify for the finals of the tournament.
Previously unbeaten in the tournament, the Warriors appeared to be in course for a successful 331-run chase as Klinger and Marsh added 241 for the third wicket, needing 30 runs off the final three overs of the day.
However, the pair fell to successive deliveries from Chadd Sayers in the 48th over, and by allowing only five runs from the remaining four balls, the sometime Test-squad member tilted the balance in South Australia's favour after they had for so long been unable to contain Klinger or Marsh.
Ferguson's hundred formed the spine of the Redbacks innings after he had won the toss and chosen to bat. Century partnerships with Tom Cooper and Jake Lehmann - both of whom scored 46 each - allowed South Australia to accelerate steadily over the course of their innings, before No. 8 batsman Joe Mennie struck a couple of late sixes that turned out to be just enough runs to thwart the Warriors.
