There are cars, there are luxury cars, and then there are these luxury cars with ridiculously expensive number plates.

A number plate that costs Rs 132 crore was put on sale in an online advertisement. Surely the big-ticket item right now.

Apparently you will have to shed out this humongous amount of money to secure the 'F1' Licence Plate that is on sale online in United Kingdom.

Britain-based Afzal Khan has recently posted an online advertisement to sell his F1 number plate that is fixed on his Bugatti Veyron. It is a regular car licence plate with no gold or diamond studded on it.

The only exorbitant feature of this number plate is just two characters, that is F1, on a yellow number plate. Afzal Khan had bought the plate almost an year ago for Rs 10.52 crore. However, his intentions over the world' most expensive number plate are still unclear. Khan seems to be either a big Formula 1 fan or a good investor or he is clearly a show-off.

The ideal price of this number plate is Rs 110 crore but after VAT and transfer fees the total price of the number plate reaches to over Rs 132 crore. If this F1 number plate does end up being bought, it will be the most expensive license plate ever sold in the world.

Seemingly the number plate costed at Rs 132 crore is fixed on a car of Rs 12 crore.

Unlike India, citizens of United Kingdom own their number plates and can even sell or auction them. UK's Regtransfers' website is one such platform that allows to sell or auction number plates. Regtransfers' is United Kingdom's leading supplier of official number plates.
