Meet Massimo Bottura, the chef patron of Osteria Francescana, a three star Michelin restaurant at Modena, Italy. The restaurant also happens to be one among the top 5, as listed by The World's 50 Best Restaurants, since 2010, and ranked the best in 2016.

If you think that is impressive, you are in for a treat.

There are more than 10000 athletes in Rio, add to that the staff. Providing food for them is a mammoth task. What's remarkable is the quantity of food, that goes to waste or is left as surplus, everyday.

But a group of chefs headed by Massimo Bottura, have gone down the way for a better use of the food.

"We are getting the food that would be wasted and we are making visible the invisibles and creating amazing warm delicious meals,” he told CCTV.

Basically, they are taking all the surplus food and making gourmet meals out of it for all the homeless people in Rio, free of cost.

Watch out the humane gesture by those who ace in the culinary preserve.
