Turkey says MiG-23 warplane, probably Syrian, crashed on Syrian side of border

Turkey said on Sunday a MiG-23 warplane, probably belonging to the Syrian air force, had crashed on the Syrian side of the border and the pilot was believed to have bailed out.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said a search was under way for the pilot, who may have come down on the Turkish side of the frontier.
