On Monday, chief White House photographer for Barack Obama, Pete Souza posted a striking photo on Instagram to make a very important point.

The image shows the bottom half of four people. One pair of male feet (Obama) has on men's shoes and suit, while the other three pairs have heels and skirts.

“Meeting with top advisors. This is a full-frame picture. I guess you’d say I was trying to make a point,” Souza captioned the photo.

While new US President Donald Trump has been criticised for not having enough women in his cabinet, Obama made great efforts to include women in top positions in his administration. Obama also worked to ensure an equal split of men and women among his top aides during his presidency, the Independent reported.

According to the Independent, Trump's incoming cabinet was criticised, a day before his inauguration for not having a single Hispanic American since Ronald Reagan's.

Just recently a photo posted on Twitter signing a controversial executive order reinstating the global gag rule  incited much criticism for not having any women present for a decision that concerns women.

Many believe Souza, has used his Instagram  to critique Trump’s presidency, since leaving the White House.
