4 killed, 3 injured in house collapse in Pakistan

Four persons were killed and three others injured today when their house collapsed after an explosion in Pakistan's restive tribal region.

The incident occurred in Shah Kas area situated at the confluence of Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency and Peshawar district.

An official from political administration confirmed the incident but could not confirm the nature of the blast.

Four rooms of the house were razed to ground after the explosion.

A rescue team was rushed to the site and it retrieved two bodies. Five injured in the blast were shifted to a nearby hospital. Two persons succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

"Right now we cannot say anything about nature of the blast however the possibility of explosion caused by explosive materials could also not be ruled out. Everything will be cleared after the investigations," said the official of the political administration of Khyber Agency.
