Away from the hustle bustle of Mumbai and even their home Delhi, the couple chose Alwar in Rajasthan as their wedding destination. A stunning fort palace in Alwar has turned into the wedding location for the lovebirds. The celebrations have begun and pictures of their grand engagement and sangeet at Tijara Fort Palace has gone viral. Surrounded by mountains, fields and Jain Temples, Gautam and Pankhuri have chose one pretty location to walk down the aisle.
For the mehendai ceremony, the couple opted for bright and beautiful colours. While Pankhuri wore a lovely bright pink ensemble with kundan jewellery, Gautam looked dapper in navy blue kurta. For the engagement evening, the couple chose the colour of the season -pale pink with embellishments. Teamed with diamond jewellery and dewy makeup, Pankhuri made for a pretty bride. Since they had a small roka function with only family members in attendance, engagement to sangeet and wedding functions are being celebrated in a royal setting.

Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy confirmed their relationship status on Diwali last year. The duo first met on the sets of the TV show Suryaputra Karn and became friends. Slowly, their friendship turned into love and only a few who are very close to the couple were aware of their relationship. A report on the Times of India stated that the duo exhanged rings on the auspicious occasion of Diwali this year. The families of both Gautam and Pankhuri were in attendence. The actor was quoted as saying, "Yes, Pankhuri and I recently got engaged and I feel lucky to have found a life partner like her. We share the same wavelength and she has fit into my family perfectly.” While Pankhuri told the daily,"We have taken the first step. The families have wholeheartedly welcomed our union. In Gautam, I have found the answer to all my dreams. I’m eagerly looking forward to the most important phase of my life.”
