TV comedian Sidharth Sagar, who mysteriously disappeared for four months and was found last week after a Facebook post of his friend went viral on social media opened up about his personal life in a press conference in Mumbai. Nobody had any clue of what the Comedy Classes comedian had been going through for all this time, before his friend decided to seek help on social media after she couldn't contact him for about four months. Post that, Sidharth had shared a video message on his Instagram account and hinted that he has been going through a lot of trying times because of his family.

Finally, Sidharth decided to come out in the open in a press conference held on Sunday and revealed shocking details about the alleged horrors committed by his parents on him. He shared that his parents separated about 20 year ago and he lives with his mother in Mumbai wile his father lived in Delhi. He was very close to his mother but after she met a man named Suyash Gadgil, things began to change for worse for him.

Sidharth shared, "There came a time when I started feeling really low and I had put on weight. And since I was trying to stop smoking, I was taking too much coffee. Soon I realised, I was depressed. My speech slurred and I was in a bad zone. When I told my parents about it, they said that they have put me on medicines for bipolar disease. I was shell-shocked when I heard it. I know about bipolar and I didn’t have any of the symptoms and here my parents were giving me drugs by mixing it in my food." He added that his mother was also disturbed all the time and he had never looked into his financial matters. It was only when there was an issue with a property, that he realised that they had no money left with them.

Sidharth further shared that he had warned Suyash and told him not to play with the emotions of his mother. "Things took a drastic turn when once in the middle of the night, we got into a fight and I left home. I started staying alone since I had no social circle. Somebody suggested me to take some substance to get over my miserable life and I soon got addicted," he said, adding that he told his mother about it and asked her to send him to a rehab.

Recounting the horrors of the rehab, Sidharth said, "I faced the worst moments of my life in the centre where they used to mercilessly bash me (breaks down). Four-five people used to bash me and I would bleed and lose conscience. I was shattered completely. Somehow, I managed to connect with my managers who pulled me out from there after a month. I thought life would turn to normal but it turned worse. I would have regular fights at home with Suyash and I tried my best to stay away. This was also the time I had filed a NC against them for I really feared for my life and well-being. It came true when I was picked up while traveling back from Goa and thrown into a mental asylum where I was tortured and treated for ailments I didn’t even have. But since it was turning out to be an expensive treatment, my mother decided to shift me to Asha Ki Kiran, a rehabilitation centre that did not bother much about finance."

Sidharth said that the new rehab was better and he recieved proper treatment there. It was apparently found that his psychological issues had cropped up because of the wrong medicines that his mother used to give him. He also shared that he feels healthy and fit to work now. He now hopes to "get back" on his feet and live a peaceful life. "I am looking for work and I am sure something good would come my way," he said.

Sidharth also alleged that his mother has become very hyper now and said that he wants his parents to go through counselling. He also added that he's looking for legal advice since he doesn't want Suyash to take away his hard-earned money.
