Sasural Simar Ka actors Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim tied the knot last month and from their pre-wedding shoots to colourful wedding celebrations, their fans left no chance to catch a glimpse of their favourite telly couple.

But soon after their wedding, it was revealed that Dipika converted into Islam and changed her name to Faiza in order to marry Shoaib. The fans, who followed Dipika’s marriage ceremonies with utmost zest and zeal, took no time to criticize her for it.

Unaffected by the social media divide and trolls, Dipika clarified that it was her 'personal decision' and said, "Definitely, it is true and I am not denying it. I am very happy and proud that I have done it for myself and my happiness. My family was with me in this decision and my intentions were to hurt anyone. This is my decision."

While her hubby Shoaib kept mum on the issue, he finally came out in support of Dipika and revealed to Indian Express, "Trust me, both of us are just not bothered about what people say. We know we haven't done any wrong and so we don't focus on this negativity. When there's low in our lives, do these people come as a saviour? No, so who has given them the right to talk about us. Our marriage was so beautiful that some haters decided to pick a subject to demean it, but it really didn't affect us."

On being asked how life has changed after wedding, he added: "I really cant express it in words but there's a constant happy feeling. Now when you get late at work, you feel bad and want to rush home."

Dipika and Shoaib tied the knot on February 22 in Maudaha Hamirpur, UP.
