Amazon Echo is finally available to all customers invite-free in India

Amazon has officially announced that customers interested to purchase Echo devices can do so, without an invitation. The Echo is available in three versions, the Echo Dot, priced at Rs 4499, the Echo, priced at Rs 9999 and the Echo Plus, priced at Rs 14,999. It will be available via online retail channel, Amazon.in and offline through 350 retail stores across 20 cities in India, including Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Crossword and more.

Amazon has officially announced that customers interested to purchase Echo devices can do so, without an invitation. The Echo is available in three versions, the Echo Dot, priced at Rs 4499, the Echo, priced at Rs 9999 and the Echo Plus, priced at Rs 14,999. The company first launched the Echo series in India in October, last year. But at that time, it was only available on the basis of an invite. It took the company almost four months to offer the sales to everyone. However, it must be noted that customers will not get the one year of Amazon Prime subscription with the purchase of the device.

Alexa in India is now revamped with Indian voices. It has also received support for English (India) to go along with English (English (Australia), English (Canada) English (UK), English (US), German, and Japanese), suggest reports. However, it does not support Hindi, for now. Additionally, a new feature will allow Alexa to Alexa voice calling to voice call your friends and family. To use this feature, users need to have supported-Echo devices or the free Alexa app on their Android or iOS devcies.

Commenting on the announcement, Jayshree Gururaj, Director at Amazon Devices said, “We are excited to make Alexa and our Echo devices available for all customers, and we can’t wait to hear about their experiences.”
