​Pep Guardiola and Juergen Klopp renew their rivalry as Manchester City host Liverpool in an early test of both teams' title credentials. There is not much separating both teams right now with both having earned 7-points from their first three games. Liverpool, though are second in the league table above City on goal difference.​

This match may well decide who will be ultimate challengers to the current table toppers Manchester United.  

City are currently on an 11-game unbeaten run. The hosts have been pathetic against Liverpool and have failed to manage a win in their last five Premier League encounters.

Liverpool will be confident after an emphatic 4-0 victory over Arsenal and will look forward to continue their good form against the Blues. 

They will however miss the services of Phillipe Coutinho who has not been included in the side. Klopp said that he has been given more time to recover and reach full fitness before joining the team.
