Legendary New Zealand cricketer Richard Hadlee believes if Brendon McCullum's men could bring home their maiden World Cup trophy, it would be counted among the country's biggest sporting achievements.

Hadlee said that McCullum's men have an opportunity to create history in their game as they are in the final for the first time, adding that they would never ever be forgotten if they win, News.com.au reported.

Describing the achievement of America's Cup and Rugby World Cup as greatest moments in New Zealand's sporting history, Hadlee said that winning the Cricket World Cup would put McCullum's men right up there with some of their greatest ever achievements .

Hadlee, however, believes that New Zealand would have to deal with immense pressure in their first final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday against four-time champions Australia.

The legendary cricketer insisted that they would be ready to overcome the pressure, admitting that they are playing with no fear and magnificently led by McCullum, particularly at the top of the order, the way that he's batted.
