A fish named Chanakya II in Chennai has predicted team India's victory in the cricket World Cup semi-finals against Australia in Sydney. The fish is owned by a Non-Governmental Organisation, Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO), which aims at boosting vulnerable communities including women and children.

The result of the quarter finals and the past semi-final matches was correctly predicted by Chanakya II. "Today, it predicts that the match between Australia and India that is going to happen tomorrow, that India will win. ICWO wish that India team will have a big win tomorrow and go to the final. At the same time, we want to reinforce that cricket fans across the world, the billions of people watching cricket, we want to make sure that they are aware that they need to save water, recycle water, protect the existing water resources," said founder and secretary, ICWO, Hariharan.

Today's match today pits four-times champions Australia, the top-ranked team in one-day cricket, against defending champions India. Fans across the country are also holding special prayers for the Indian cricket team. The winners will go on to face the other co-hosts New Zealand next Sunday in the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, in Ranchi, a World Cup booklet has been released by Jharkhand postal division in Doranda post office. The booklet captures the historic and memorable moments of Indian cricket. Praising Indian cricket team's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, joint secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Amitabh Chaudhary, said as a captain Dhoni has given India recognition beyond borders. 

"From 1935 till 2004, no player either from Bihar or Jharkhand could play for India. People started saying that our boys are not capable and I would always wonder that there was no talent for 70 years. I do not believe in such things and see God's miracle now, current Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is perhaps the finest in the history of cricket," said Chaudhary.
