World Cup 2015: Brendon McCullum writes letter to Indian fans on eve of final against Australia

Indian cricket fans seem to hate Australia so much that even opposition captains are acutely aware of it.

Trust New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum to come up with a letter to Indian fans on the eve of the Kiwis' World Cup final against Australia.

McCullum is well aware that Indian fans are bitter after their team's defeat to Australia in the semifinals, and there has been a groundswell of support in India for New Zealand. The semifinal loss has just exacerbated an India-Australia rivalry that goes back close to two decades.

Here is the letter, released by PUMA on behalf of McCullum:

McCullum will certainly need all the luck he can find, because Australia are a team on a rampage playing at home. New Zealand have been accustomed to the small grounds at home, but the MCG is a giant. NZ will find it tough to clear the fence, and this has been one of their main strategies to intimidate the opposition.

It has to be recalled that McCullum is a fan of letters. He wrote one to 'all the bosses in New Zealand' asking them to give employees leave for the semifinal clash against South Africa.
