Eleven minutes and 13 balls!

That is for how long Virat Kohli laboured for his solitary run during India's disappointing defeat to Australia, at the SCG on Thursday.

The stadium was packed to the brim with masses of blue and amidst the throng of mad, wild, cheering Indian diaspora stood out a special some one.

No prizes for guessing!

It was none other than Kohli's superstar girlfriend Anushka Sharma, who till moments ago was egging him on to deliver a Sydney master class.

Of course that did not materialise as Kohli (in a bid to accelerate the run-rate), tried to whack Johnson out of the ground and failed horribly.

With Brad Haddin lapping up the easiest of catches, Johnson was left pumping his fists in a fit of adrenaline.

And as a bewildered Kohli trudged back amidst a hush of deathly silence in the stands, pondering as to what may have been...Anushka's trademark exuberance had morphed into one of pure horror.

Now what were you saying? (India.com)

Now though it is common knowledge Ms Sharma is rapidly climbing up Bollywood's oh so slippery ladders (NH10 anyone!), that expression severely gives away the fact that she is one hell of an actress.

With Kohli's dismissal, India expectedly crashed to a painful 95-run defeat later on and blew their chance to star in another cup final, thus triggering off numerous mindless Anushka-Virat jokes on the Internet.

Of course the saddest part is that of 'fans' heaping blame on Anushka for Kohli's tepid performance with the bat.

From being Kohli's 'distraction' to losers taking to twitter to 'stone' the actress' home...the list of memes and trolls were endless.

Yes, though India's ouster will be forgotten in a while and normalcy of things will be resumed, still one cannot help but pity these 'cricket experts' and 'fans' who have targeted the talented actress for India's loss.

What about Kohli's fine 107 against arch rivals Pakistan in the tournament opener at Adelaide?

Or even his golden run with the bat during this summer's Border-Gavaskar test series?

Does it take one game to discard his earlier performances into cricketing dustbins and put all blame on his broad shoulders?

And Anushka?

OMG! (Twitter)

Is she solely to be trolled for just turning up and try and inspire from the stands?

The answer to all the above questions can only be answered by the above mentioned 'experts' who can neither bat nor act.

The fact remains that India were outplayed by a strong Australian outfit, determined to taste World Cup glory on home soil, which is not reason enough to take pot shots at either Virat or Anushka.

Of course, it will be no surprise if Kohli shrugs this disappointment off and puts on a stellar performance, come India's post-World Cup assignments, which would do a world of good to him.

Haters..I will be baaaaack! (DNA)

As for Ms Sharma, she can do well to ignore the Internet (at least for a while!) and come up with another mind blower of a flick, a la NH10.

With cricket and Bollywood always being an unbeatable combination, the Anushka-Virat jodi looks all set to rock both cricket and tinsel town for many more years to come by.

So as India head back home post their photo finish performance in the World Cup, Virat can definitely look back and revel in what has truly been a wonderful summer for him.

And Ms Sharma?

Let the expressions and exuberance roll over.
