West Indies dasher Chris Gayle signs up for Big Bash side Melbourne Renegades

The powerhouse batsman is set to form an explosive opening pair with Renegades' captain Aaron Finch in the fifth edition of BBL in December. Attacking Caribbean batsman Chris Gayle has signed for the Melbourne Renegades club for the next T20 Big Bash League (BBL) season.

The powerhouse batsman is set to form an explosive opening pair with Renegades' captain Aaron Finch in the fifth edition of BBL in December. The Australian T20 captain said that it was 'huge' to sign Gayle as he has dominated this format of the game for years, Stuff.co.nz reported. 

The Explosive West Indian batsman said that he was 'excited' to entertain fans in Melbourne and would show a good performance in his second stint of Big Bash. The West Indies superstar was the first batsman to score a World Cup double century when he scored 215 off just 138 balls against Zimbabwe in February. Gayle would be making a comeback to the Big Bash after 2011 when he had a disastrous season for Sydney Thunder struggling for runs.
