Virender Sehwag is probably more explosive with his tweets than he was with his bat. After mercilessly trolling pacer Ishant Sharma a few days ago, it was the turn of Shoaib Akhtar on Saturday.

The Nawab of Najafgarh goes back a long way with the Rawalpindi Express. The two had a similar playing style and were a terror for opponents during their heydays. And when they came head-to-head with each other, it was a sight to behold.

The Pakistani legend was part of the bowling attack when Sehwag bludgeoned a triple century against Pakistan in 2004, which earned him the title - Sultan of Multan. Not just that, who can ever forget the 'baap baap hota hai' episode between the two.

The duo's association has carried forward from the cricket pitch into the commentary box, and the icons have forged a healthy friendship over the years. Proof of that was on display when Sehwag wished television presenter Jatin Sapru for his birthday on Saturday. Like all of Viru's wishes, this one had a twist in it too.

After India had defeated Pakistan in the ICC World T20 in 2016, Jatin couldn't resist laughing while looking at Shoaib as they both sat in a studio to do post-match analysis with Kapil Dev. The shot-tempered pacer wasn't pleased with Jatin's behaviour and advised him sternly to focus on the game. Clearly embarrassed, the presenter tried to rescue the situation by blaming the Mauka Mauka song in the background for his laughter. Shoaib, though, wasn't going to have any of it and the frown on his face refused to go away.

Taking a dig at Shoaib for trying to intimidate Jatin, Sehwag posted a hilarious tweet along with a video of the aforementioned incident.

"Happy Birthday. @jatinsapru .Keep up the wonderful work aur mere hote huye inse darne ka nahi," wrote Viru.

Here's the tweet:

Jatin was prompt in acknowledging Viru's banter: "@virendersehwag Hahahah Gurudev @virendersehwag .. Bhaijaan @shoaib100mph Yeh dekh lo," he replied.

Here's the tweet:

Well, since Shoaib is yet to come up with a reply, it seems Sehwag has successfully yorked him once again!
