WATCH: Sehwag reminds fans how he registered Multan in his name with hilarious tweet

Virender Sehwag took to Twitter on Wednesday to remind his followers how 13 years ago he ended up registering Multan in his name. Yes, it was on this day in 2004 that the swashbuckling opener became the first Indian to score a triple-century in Test cricket when he smashed the Pakistani attack out of the park.

Sehwag's epic knock of 309 off 375 balls earned his the name 'Sultan of Multan'. His effort also guided India to a victory by an innings an 52 runs.

"On this Day In 2004 ,ended up doing Registry of this place in my name. Thank you for your loving reminders,an innings I will always cherish," wrote the 38-year-old.

Viru added the map of Multan along with his tweet. Here it is:

Viru wasn't done for the day, though. He put out another tweet remembering the other triple-century that he had scored. It was on this, nine years ago, that the Delhi Dasher got out for 319 against South Africa. 

He rounded off his tweet by a brilliant quip that is sure to strike a cord with one and all.

"Also 9 years ago on this day, got out for 319 against SA, having reached 300 previous day. March mein target poora karne ki alag hi feel hai (It is a different feeling altogether to meet your targets in March)."
