Every sport in the world is blessed with at-least one bad boy who stands out and is always in the news for wrong reasons. Funnily enough, these rebels seem to invariably be 'special talents' in their respective fields as well.

Case in point - Italian footballer Mario Balotelli and Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios. Both athletes are touted to have great potential, but neither has been able to set the world on fire because of their temperamental behaviour.

Seems like it's about time we add another player on this dubious list - none other than Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal. From being charged for a brawl with a traffic police at Firdous, to being involved in a fight with a gatekeeper at the Gaddafi Stadium who denied him an entry in his car, to getting dropped from Pakistan's tour of England after former coach Waqar Younis made complaints about his behaviour, Akmal has done it all.

The wicketkeeper-batsman found himself in trouble once again after reportedly misbehaved with excise police officers. Reports in the Pakistani media suggested that Akmal was stopped by the officers of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department as part of their drive to weed out illegal number plates, while he was driving to the National Cricket Academy.

"We don't discriminate when it comes to stopping cars with fancy number plates, we have also stopped cars of many MPAs," excise department Region C director Muhammad Asif was quoted as saying by geo.tv.

"We respect him but he should set an example of how citizens should behave. Previously, he misbehaved with traffic police and now excise department," added Asif.

The cricketer, though, alleged that the police misbehaved with him.

Here's a video of the incident:

Akmal's idiosyncrasies aren't just restricted to his trysts with the law, he has off-late been trolled quite a bit on social media for his outlandish behaviour. From posting hilarious videos where he's seen rapping with a group of friends, to challenging Team India skipper Virat Kohli to score as many runs batting down the order as he does, the 26-year-old has done a lot to keep the public entertained.
