Suresh Raina's wish to MS Dhoni will make you fondly remember their partnership for India and CSK

Suresh Raina and Mahendra Singh Dhoni go back a long way. While Captain Cool made his international debut in December 2004, Raina made his soon after in July 2005. And ever since then, the two managed to forge together an incredible partnership in Indian cricket that has lasted for a good decade.

Ove rthe years, India's middle-order in limited-overs has been largely dependant on the awesome-twosome of Raina and Dhoni. The duo shared innumerable partnerships to guide the Men in Blue to victory from tricky situations. Not just Team India, Raina and Dhoni also share a huge legacy in the Indian Premier League where they played together for Chennai Super Kings.

The left-hander has always had Dhoni's backing and has thrived under his leadership. Such was MSD's faith in Raina that there have been times when followers have demanded the Uttar Pradesh batsman's ouster from the team but the captain refused to relent, even at the cost of being accused of favouritism.

Naturally then, as Dhoni decided to relinquish his captaincy from India's limited-overs sides, Raina had an emotional message for his captain. The southpaw took to Twitter to expressive his gratitude to arguably India's greatest ever captain. "India's most successful captain @msdhoni who translated his vision into reality. Inspired many to dream more, do more and become more.Salute," he wrote.

Well, Dhoni might not be the captain anymore but Indian fans will surely look forward to this fabulous duo entertaining us for years to come.
