Familiar faces in the Swansea City dressing room have helped Martin Olsson settle in at the Premier League club, and the defender says he's now getting to the level of fitness he needs to play in the Premiere League.

Olsson, who joined from second-tier side Norwich City in January, has previously played in the league for Blackburn Rovers, part of with Swansea manager Paul Clement. He also played with midfielder Leroy Fer with the Canaries.

"I have settled well. I knew a few of the boys before I got here. I knew the manager from before, too, so it has been good to get to know everyone," Olsson told British media.

Olsson scored his first goal for the Welsh club in Sunday's 2-0 win over relegation rivals Leicester City at the Liberty Stadium.

"Of course when you come in during January it makes it a little bit more difficult as you do not have much time to adjust before getting straight into it," the 28-year-old Swede said.

"But as soon as I got a few more games under my belt it has got better, and I hope it can keep getting better ... My fitness was good but a few more games gets you used to the intensity."

Swansea are 15th in the table, four points above the relegation zone after 25 games. They travel to face leaders Chelsea on Feb. 25.
