Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 10 points, thanks to goals from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard in a 2-1 victory at the London Stadium on Monday. West Ham welcomed the timely return of striker Andy Carroll but were brushed aside by their London rivals.

We've gathered some post-match reaction from supporters of both clubs:

West Ham: KUMB Forum

"We got picked off by the best team in the league. They are a side that are not only crammed with fantastic players but Antonio Conte has got them set up in a classic Italian style to deal with whatever the opponents throw at them. That's why they've stuffed far better teams than us.

"I don't buy that we were as bad as some say. Until they scored I thought we were decent, and after weathering a tough spell we got back into it.

"I think many of the problems were the season-long problems of square pegs in round holes.

"We haven't got a right back, we've lost our most gifted player, and we're lacking top quality in several positions after last summer's poor transfer business.

"Chelsea are 10 points clear because they obviously really do their homework on every opponent. They kept a lively looking Manuel Lanzini deep, they switched defenders accordingly after the early promise of Robert Snodgrass and they pushed their line up and down as required with great discipline.

"We were obviously trying to get balls into the box to Andy Carroll but their defence was more than up to the task and once they scored on the counter we lost some of our composure. Even our counter attacks were very slow and we allowed them to get back and regroup."

Chelsea: The Shed End

"I thought most of our players played well tonight. There was some sloppy passing throughout the game which you could see irritated Anontio Conte and they obviously didn't get his message because we gifted West Ham a goal.

"David Luiz battled well against Andy Carroll, who barely got a sniff of the ball. Cesc Fabregas dictated a lot of play and N'Golo Kante was everywhere as usual. Hazard was brilliant in patches, though he seems to drift in and out of games, rather than keeping up a brilliant performance throughout.

"Diego Costa is an odd one for me. He keeps popping up with goals, which I can hardly complain about, but apart from kneeing it into the net from four yards and a good turn and shot, he did basically nothing all game. So many of our attacks break down because he is either too slow to release the ball or he tries to dribble past someone and can't. He is very frustrating to watch.

"We put in a good defensive performance bar the final minute but we do need to kill sides off when we are on top. We showed again tonight that we can be extremely wasteful from very good positions ... the final ball, cross or shot taken sloppily. Still, we're 10 points ahead with 11 games to go. We are closing in on the prize and that's all that matters now."
