Indian batsman Manish Pandey, who made a match winning century in a thrilling chase in the 5th ODI against Australia, was left out of the Indian squad for the ICC World Twenty20 in March. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chose to pick seasoned batsman Ajinkya Rahane and give Yuvraj Singh a fresh run.
Following this, Manish Pandey trended on Twitter, with most users expressing sympathy or anger at his exclusion.
'Crime Master Gogo' is straightaway into the attack:
Manish pandey biggest mistake was he never played for chennai super kings

Akash Yadav has a somewhat similar theory.
Ignore Manish Pandey, Amit Mishra, Uthappa. Instead BCCI selectors pick Ashish Nehra, Pawan Negi. So much bias towards Dhoni's teammates

Dhoni has come under some serious attack.
Hmmm...Like Sehwag, don't think Manish Pandey is gonna mention him in his retirement speech! MT Dhoni's preference prevails.

Oh yes, Negi could be the scapegoat.
Now ppl will criticize pawan negi that's what you'll do,believe in him the selectors are not mad to select any one.Keep calm!

Manish pandey??
A play on 'Acche Din' can never be missed.
Stuart Binny jaise Useless poori duniya ghoom aate hai par Manish pandey jaise match winner k liye team m jagah nhi kya ye h ????? ??? ?

Iam Chandu is another Dhoni baiter.
@BCCI No place for Manish pandey who helped to clinch victory in last ODI.. 7 CSK players in 15 members team ..reason please

Ashish Jha is the contrarian.
Manish Pandey unlucky to miss out. But a ryt decision from the selectors chosing Rahane over him. Experienced & a much more solid player ??

Abhishek Singh makes a rational argument.
Even if Manish Pandey was selected, would he find a spot in playing 11? No, because Dhoni would prefer playing with 6 batsmen & 5 bowlers

Here's another level-headed explanation.
it's harsh on Manish Pandey, doubt him getting picked in playing 11.

Selectors eye is on bowlr who cn bat.
Hence,Justified by selecting Negi
Mr Chidambaram has an interesting opinion.
If this WC would have been outside Asia then Manish Pandey would have made d cut out #WCt20

Harsha Bhogle offers a final piece of wisdom.
Hard on Manish Pandey but can't have more than 4-5 players who only bat. He is the next cab off the rank given he is a brilliant fielder
