Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal entered the finals of the $750,000 Australian Super Series on Saturday after defeating World Number two and top seed Chinese Shixian Wang.
Nehwal, who currently stands just a win away from clinching her second title of the year, defeated Wang 21-19, 16-21, 21-15 in an hour and 16 minutes.
After recording her fifth overall win against her Chinese opponent, Nehwal tweeted that she beat Wang in a tough three game match.
Nehwal had lost to Wang in their previous two encounters, the most recent being the All England Championships, but the sixth seed took their head-to-head record to 5-3 by winning the semi-final match in Sydney.
Saina had won the India Open Grand Prix Gold in Delhi earlier this year.
