India completed an emphatic victory against Australia in the second Test in Bengaluru on Tuesday to square the four-match series 1-1. While there were several contributors to the hosts' success, Ravichandran Ashwin was the star performer with the ball in the all-important fourth innings of the match.
The Tamil Nadu lad picked up his 25th career five wicket haul and also became the fastest to 200 wickets in India. Naturally, Ashwin and the rest of the boys were ecstatic at the team's phenomenal comeback in the series, and the off-spinner took to Twitter to share a candid moment he'd shared with pacer Ishant Sharma after the win.
"This mans 6 runs set us up today! Bowled his heart out too..Well done Ishy," wrote Ashwin fondly.

This sweet message by Ashwin, though, was trumped by his wife who had a witty response up a sleeve.
The Bengaluru Test will be remembered for it's intense action - apart from the cricket - on the field. On Day 2 of the contest, Ishant got involved in an altercation with Steve Smith, when he made funny faces in response to the Australian skipper's constant fidgeting while batting. The lanky pacer's comical expression was an instant rage on social media, with fans having a field day making hilarious memes out of Ishant's face.

Not just Ishant, Ashwin, too, got into a battle with Aussie fast-bowler Mitchell Starc after the latter pointed to his forehead repeatedly after bowling a vicious bouncer to opener Abhinav Mukund. Ashwin, deciding to stand up for his fellow Tamilian, took a dig at Starc by pointing to his own forehead after dismissing him in the second innings.

Taking off from the antics of these fiery Indian players, Ashwin's wife Prithi requested Ishant and her husband to post a picture of them doing their respective on-field moves. "Give us a pic with your respective send off faces. Please @ashwinravi99. Oh just don’t poke your eyes while at it," wrote Prithi.
