As the Indian cricket team is scheduled to play a record number of Test matches (13) in the next one year, many might think that there's a gradual shift of power and authority from Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Virat Kohli, but the newly appointed India coach Anil Kumble begs to differ.

Dhoni who recently led the Men in Blue to ODI and T20 series triumphs in Zimbabwe will not be in action until October, when the Kiwis tour India for a marathon series, but Kumble's immediate tweet after becoming the national team coach showed that Mahi still commands a lot of respect when it comes to being the leader of the pack.

While Kumble was busy replying the congratulatory messages on Twitter, he took time out to praise his former national teammate for the success he achieved in Zimbabwe with a second string side. The veteran spinner also didn't forget to mention that he was eager to work with Dhoni and Team India. "@msdhoni congratulations for winning in Zimbabwe. Look forward to working with you and team India," read Kumble's tweet.

Dhoni was most probably flying back to India when all these happened and presumably that's the reason why there wasn't any reaction from his side.

BCCI's decision to appoint Kumble as the head coach for a year's term was widely applauded with former and present cricketers leading the procession. 'Jumbo', as Kumble is fondly called exhibited true class by replying to each and every tweet of eminent personalities.
