Karachi: Pakistani pace bowling legend Wasim Akram has hailed the Kolkata Knight Riders team, which he is mentoring, and said that they do not have a 'run-of-the-mill' attack.

Akram became one of the KKR bowlers as he trained with them in the scorching heat before their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Delhi Daredevils at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

According to The Nation, Akram said that he is proud of the way the KKR bowling attack is shaping up, adding that instead of changing a bowler's action, he mostly gives them tips to improve their bowling, pick weaknesses and how to assess which shot a batsman is going to play.

Stating that the team's bowling attack is special as each bowler has a different action, Akram further said that his job becomes much easier with Sunil Narine, Morne Morkel and Piyush Chawla as all of them are good wicket-takers.

Akram is also happy with his team's batting line-up, saying that it has depth with batters like Yousuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hassan and Suryakumar Yadav and all-rounders like Chawla, adding that the biggest plus in the team is that they are not 'sulkers' and are happy in each other's company.
