Borussia Dortmund are ready to face Benfica for their Champions League tie on Tuesday. The team stepped onto the Estadio Da Luz field sans Mario Gotze who failed to recover from his injury, reports Daily Mail.

Playmakers Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were seen doing some routine drills. Commenting on the absence of the player Tuchel said, "He most recently had adductor problems. He had one training session but unfortunately, it is not enough for him to help us in this game."

Dortmund are already struggling to make the cut for next year's Champions League after winning only 9 of their 20 matches in this season. And after suffering a defeat from Darmstadt, one of the teams on Champions League's bottom sides, Tuchel's men are looking forward to kickstarting the knockout round with a victory.

The 1997 European champions and finalists four years ago will be hoping they can replicate that form for their first leg in Lisbon.
