FC Pune City announce Iceland legend Eidur Gudjohnsen as their marquee player.

Indian Super League (ISL) club FC Pune City have hired the services of veteran Iceland striker Eidur Gudjohnsen for the third season of the league which is scheduled to start from October 2. The Hrithik Roshan co-owned club have also named the former Chelsea and Barcelona star as their marquee player.
Gudjohnsen's last international commitment was in Euro 2016 where Iceland surprised all and sundry to reach the quarter-finals. The two-time Premier League winner with Chelsea and a one-time La Liga winner with Barcelona has scored a total of 26 goals from 88 appearances for his national team.
Having played highest quality of European football, Gudjohnsen is expected to add class to a star-studded Pune line-up who are aiming for their maiden ISL title.
