Imrul Kayes ruled out of India Test with thigh injury

In a major blow to Bangladesh, opening batsman Imrul Kayes has been ruled out of the lone Test against India?which begins this Thursday--- due to injury.

Kayes injured his left thigh while fielding on Day Two of the practice match against India A at the Gymkhana Ground.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) media manager Rabeed Imam said that the injury to Kayes is a recurrence of the same injury that ruled him out of the second Test against New Zealand in Christchurch last month, reports ESPNcricinfo.

Soumya Sarkar is likely to open the innings along with Tamim Iqbal when the one-off match gets underway on February 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here.

Meanwhile, uncapped batsman Mosaddek Hossain has been called in as a replacement of Kayes.
