As the player transfer window will close on Tuesday, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers made it abundantly clear that goalkeeper Craig Gordon will stay with the Scottish team regardless of the size of the offers made for him.

According to a report on BBC, Antonio Conte and Chelsea are keen on getting the 34-year-old player to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea made a second bid of around £3.5 million for the goalkeeper who is negotiating a new contract with Celtic.

Talking at a press conference ahead of Celtic's clash against Aberdeen, Rodgers said, "I think I made it clear, we're very strong on what we're doing here, what we're trying to build.

"I repeat - we don't want to sell him. My job here is very simple to look after Celtic, help the club develop on and off the field and part of that is not to give away your best players," he continued.

Thibaut Courtois is Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper and if Gordon to move to the English side, it will be his second spell after moving from Hearts to Sunderland in 2007 and transferring to Celtic in July 2014.
