British boxer Amir Khan to travel to Pakistan; will show support for victims of Peshawar massacre

Seven militants killed 141 people in the attack on 16 December on a Peshawar army school, which included 132 children.

British two-time world champion Amir Khan has revealed that he would travel to Pakistan before the year ends in order to show support for the victims of the army school, that were massacred by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in Peshawar.

Seven TTP militants killed 141 people in the attack on December 16, which included 132 children.

Khan, whose parents were born in Pakistan, said that he 'just wants to speak the truth' and tell people 'what is happening is wrong'. The WBC Silver welterweight champion donated boxing shorts worth 30,000 pounds to help pay for the school to be rebuilt, The BBC reported.

He said that he 'believes it's more important now than ever' to go over there, adding that he thinks 'it would send a statement to a lot of people' and added that he wants Pakistan to be a 'better country'. Khan who plans to make the trip between Christmas and New Year said that the news 'hurt him'.

The boxer claimed that it's 'very disgusting' seeing or hearing stuff like this, adding that one can never think people would be 'that sick in their mind'.
