Bhutia partners Coal India to scout for young talent

Keeping the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in mind, Coal India has partnered with former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia to scout for young talents in the districts of Bengal.

Keeping the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in mind, Coal India has partnered with former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia to scout for young talents in the districts of Bengal.

As part of the programme, there will be an inter-district tournament in the state and the most talented lot would be imparted training by Coal India, its director R Mohan Das said during a media interaction here today.

"Bhutia is a partner in the programme and we are looking at a long term association," Das said.

The programme will be finalised within a month's time, he added.

He further said each of their nine subsidiaries have been asked to identify two sport disciplines and develop a Coal India team.
