Midfielder Arturo Vidal hammered two second-half goals as Bayern Munich booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after claiming an aggregate 10-2 win over 10-man Arsenal at Emirates Stadium here on Wednesday.

Bayern, who were leading 5-1 from the first leg, once again thrashed Arsenal by 5-1 in the second leg of the last-16 round to storm into the next round.

Arsenal were the one to make the breakthrough first by pulling back one goal via forward Theo Walcott in the 20th minute of the match, goal.com reported.

However, Bayern made amends in the second-half when Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty corner into a goal in the 55th minute, before Arjen Robben (68th minute) doubled the side?s lead.

In the 78th minute, Douglas Costa picked off his feeble defensive line to make it 3-1 against Arsenal. Fellow midfielder Arturo Vidal then grabbed a late double, first with an impudent chip before slotting in from Costa's square pass.

The match also saw Arsenal reduce to ten men when Laurent Koscielny was sent off after Walcott rewarded a spirited first-half display with the opening goal.
