Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig defeated Saisai Zheng and Alexander Peya in the second round of Australian Open 2017 to set up a clash against Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski.

The Indo-Croatian pair took down Zheng-Peya 2-6, 6-2 (10-6). They had a wobbling start. Mirza's serve was broken and the set was taken by Zheng-Peya 6-2 in 26 minutes. 11 unforced errors only added to the misery of Mirza-Dodig, reports ESPN.com

In the second set, Mirza-Dodig broke Zheng-Peya to get the lead. Mirza held her serve to get ahead by 3-0. 14 winners, two aces, and only five unforced errors helped Mirza-Dodig take the second set.

In the decider, both sides lost their serve twice. But Peya failed to hold under pressure after the score was 9-6 and Mirza-Dodig took advantage of it to seal the set.
