Having lost their first Twenty20 clash against Sri Lankaat the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) , Australia will now look to redeem itself against the visitors in the second Twenty20 international clash at Kardinia Park in Geelong on Sunday evening.

Kardinia Park is located a little more than an hour's drive from Melbourne's south-west.

Both sides are keen on improving their respective performances.

Sri Lanka has come straight from playing T20s and one-dayers in South Africa, while the Australians have had a couple of Sheffield Shield matches since the Big Bash tournament ended.

Both will need to adapt quickly to the change in formats and Australia will be keen to securing an equalising win in Geelong.

Sri Lanka will look to improve their fielding standards, while the Australians will look to improve on their batting after getting off to good starts, in particular skipper Aaron Finch, Michael Klinger and Travis Head, who were unable to go on from starts in the previous MCG fixture.

Australia did well in the bowling department thanks to spinner Adam Zampa, but underused Aston Turner. Lankan bowlers Lakshan Sandakan and Seekkuge Prasanna bowled thriftily and well in the middle overs.

This and the third match of the series in Adelaide will also decide on the international future of be pace bowler Pat Cummins.
