Civil engineer son kidnapped from Chakan found at Miraj

A four year-old boy was kidnapped by unidentified person brought day light from the car after his father went to bring him toys on Sunday in Chakan after 30 hours, the boy was traced at Miraj railway station on wee hours of Tuesday.

Pravin alias Krishna Patnaik (4) a student of Nursery was kidnapped by unidentified person near Talegoan on Sunday. His father Pramodkumar who is civil engineer and hails from Orissa. Currently, resident of Sara city in Kharabwadi in Chakan had approached Chakan police station. As per the apex court ruling any child below 13 year-old the police have to lodged a kidnapping case. Chakan police have lodged a criminal complaint against unidentified person under relevant section of Indian Penal Code comprises of Kidnapping.
After 30 hours, Pravin was located at Meeraj Railway station when the local tea hawker found him crying with hunger and later handed over to police.

Pravin's mother Minati recalls, "On Sunday we had a guest from Nashik. My husband and son Pravin went to leave them at Talegoan railway station in our car. After dropping our guest, my son demanded toys accordingly, my husband locked the car and went alone to purchase the toys. When he returned abck, he found Pravin missing. Searched entire area but we could not locate him. Later we approached police. On Monday around 10 pm, we received a call from police that our child was located in Miraj railway station."

She went on, "My son is hyper active and he screams alot when he see any stranger. He claims that some man had used sedative to make him unconscious. If he would not have been given he would definately make the kidnapper ears deaf with his loud noise. Pravin usually have a habit of crying late night if he do not get proper sleep. Later the man beat him and left him at Miraj station. The local tea stall provided food and approached police. He then stayed with lady police officer house and was given a bath till we come. My son has become introvert and less interactive. So police and doctor have suggested us to interact with him as much and later the police will record the statement."

D B Patil inspector in-charge of Chakan police station said, "The boy is too young to interact with us. As doctor claims that he is in trauma and if we will questionned him there are chances he will go into depressions. We are trying to arrange a person who can speak in their mother tongue to interact with him. Pravin medical reports are normal there are no abrasion marks or any wound to him. Soon we shall arrest the person. During investigation, it is revealed that Complainant had locked the car and had kept Pravin in the car. The on-looker claim that they had seen Pravin honking the car but later he was found with a man."
