To promote health and fitness, a ‘free for all yoga’ event will be organised at Bandra reclamation promenade on May 21 at 6:30 am. The initiative taken up by Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar has generated a massive response among all sections of the society and yoga lovers. International yoga day, too, will be marked on June 21 at Reclamation. The event is being conducted by Studio Platform, in association with Ashish Shelar and yoga instructor  Sunaina Rekhi.

Bollywood actor and National award winner Neetu Chandra said, “Yoga is an essential need for me. Yoga heals the mind and body and gives me strength to stand focussed towards my goals. I have been practicing yoga for the past seven years.”

Expressing his views,  Ashish Shelar, said, “It is a beautiful expression of life, in terms of how joyful, disciplined and enthusiastic you are. Yoga helps in development of personality and enhances other skills which our youth require. Residents of Bandra will definitely benefit from the activities which will  be organised at ‘Sea Side yoga’.

“Practicing yoga helped me discover a world where the body can function naturally and happily again. The performance of exercises does not matter much, but how we approach them mentally and physically,” said Sunaina Rekhi.
