Work on Ambedkar memorial in Dadar to begin soon

Come April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar​,​ and ​the Maharashtra government ​will begin​ ​construction work for the proposed memorial at Indu Mill land in Dadar.

Union Minister of ​S​tate for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale on Wednesday met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Vidhan Bhavan. Athavale requested ​the chief ​m​inister to start the actual work of the proposed memorial before April 14.

Athavale​ said ​​Fadnavis told him that there ​was no hurdle whatsoever for starting the work ​on the memorial at Indu Mill. ​The CM also told Athavale that demolition work ​was going on at this place and necessary permissions from all the concerned departments have been availed. ​The ​Chief Minister made it clear that after receiving one letter from BMC the actual work for the memorial ​will be started at ​the land in Dadar.
